The workshop met its aims, with a large number of submissions received from the target demographic for both categories (vlog and storytelling). Through their involvement, the participants have also shown highly intriguing work with great commitment. The English E-Carnival 2021 invited students from Malaysia's elementary and secondary schools, as well as UMK students, to participate. There were 144 total submissions for this programme, which included two competitions: vlog and storytelling, with 33 (vlog) and 111 entries (storytelling). On August 15th, 2021, enrolled participants were able to submit footage of their vlog and narrative recordings to the programme. Entries were closed on August 26, 2021, to give the jury time and space to analyse all of the videos submitted by the contestants. From August 29 to September 2, 2021, the judging phase took place. The winners of each competition category were revealed on the programme website on September 5, 2021.Through more casual and entertaining activities, the programme provided additional English exposure to UMK students in particular and other students in general. It also contributes to the development of an English culture among UMK residents outside of classroom hours, so that the university's vision and mission are to produce graduates who are not only excellent in terms of entrepreneurship, but also confident in their ability to improve their English skills. In addition, it is also used as one of the platforms to further introduce the name of UMK and FBI to the public from all over Malaysia.
