The Read & Share @UMK2022 programme was organised by the Pejabat Perpustakaan dan Pengurusan Ilmu (PPI) and the Faculty of Language Studies and Human Development (FBI), UMK, in collaboration with the American Corner Kelantan (AC). The government has chosen to relaunch the National Reading Campaign, which was initiated in 2018 up until 2021. The Malaysian Ministry of Education has directed that the Read@UNI Program be implemented in all public and private higher education institutions commencing October 1, 2018. Read & Share@UMK 2022's major purpose is to assist the Read@UNI Reading Encouragement Campaign at the UMK level. This programme is intended to serve as a platform for English language learning among UMK students, as well as in achieving the Ecosystem for English Language and Assessment in Higher Education (ELHAM). Students have been encouraged to share their reading experiences with their peers and campus residents as a result of this initiative. This programme has helped students improve their communication and public speaking skills by allowing them to share presentations in front of an audience. Most importantly, students were able to cultivate a culture of high-level thinking via critical reading and open conversation. This active reading culture is said to boost students' academic achievement as well as their personalities.
