The programme as a whole met its objectives, and the target group of students for English 3 and 4 expressed interests in participating. Students from several faculties submitted submissions for the TikTok and Singing Videos, and students from English 1 and 2 had also submitted their contributions. Students in English 3 and 4 were encouraged to participate in the English E-Carnival 2021 programme (TikTok Video & Singing Competition). For the TikTok video, a total of 8 submissions were submitted, while the singing competition received 6 entries.Participants who have previously been authorised to submit video recordings of TikTok as well as videos of their singing were permitted to do so on November 21, 2021. Entries were ended on November 29, 2021, to give the jury time and space to analyse all of the videos that had been submitted by the contestants. From November 30 to December 6, 2021, the judging process took place. The winners of each competition category were revealed on the programme website on December 9, 2021. Through TikTok videos and online singing, the initiative has offered a new venue for students to demonstrate their English talents and abilities. This not only enables them to work in English online, but it also enables them to represent the faculty and the institution at a higher level after achieving departmental success. Competitions like these also help to unearth fresh talent while also improving their English abilities in a fun and engaging way.
